Every Christmas from around Thanksgiving (last Thursday in November) until 1st January Celebration in Orlando, Florida have a nightly snowfall. Starting at 6pm and running until 9pm it starts on the hour every hour and lasts for about 10 minutes. While it's not real snow it certainly sets a very festive feel to the place and helps bring Christmas to Celebration in Orlando. As you can see from our video it brings in a lot of visitors and is great fun for kids and adults alike.
We try to visit the Celebration Christmas Snowfall at least a couple times a year and it’s always a good night for people visiting the Orlando theme park area for the first time just remember it’s not real snow!
If you have never visited Celebration it well worth it as it has lots of very good restaurants for all budgets and has a feel an old American town. My favourite is the Market Street Cafe which is traditional America diner, located on the main street corner you won’t miss it. On the menu are classic America dishes like hamburgers, meatloaf, tuna melts etc and they also do a really good chocolate milkshake.
If you fancy more of a bar feel why not try the Celebration Town Tavern which has a New England style menu with Clam Chowder, Lobster Rolls, Fish n Chips plus much more.
Let me know if you have been to Celebration or seen the Christmas snowfall and what you think.
