Here is a link to an interactive map of Harry Potter World which includes Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.
Explore the World of Harry Potter
The World of Harry Potter comes to life in this amazing theme park. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Orlando is home to Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley, Kings Cross Station, Hogwarts, and all the places you love from the books and films. Wizards and Muggles, young and old, can spend hours exploring rides, shops, restaurants and see the amazingly detailed world of Harry Potter come to life. Some of the most popular rides include The Forbidden Journey, The Dragon Challenge, and Flight of the Hippogriff. This area of the Universal Studios Park is known as Hogsmeade and was opened on June 18th 2010 in the Islands of Adventure them park, since then it has been one of the most popular theme parks in Orlando. So much so that plans are in the works to make it even bigger with the new Diagon Alley which opens summer 2014!
Eat, Drink, and Shop
What other things can you do in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Orlando? Eat, drink, and shop, of course! Just like the characters in the books, you can enjoy butterbeer, a chocolate frog, or other exciting drinks and food from the Harry Potter World. Head to the Three Broomsticks and Hog’s Head for a meal. Then, go buy your very own wand at Ollivander’s. If you would rather buy a souvenir than a pint of beer, then try going to Filch’s Emporium of Confiscated Goods. You can find robes, broomsticks, pins, scarves, and much more in these unique shops.
Harry Potter World Orlando - What's Next in 2014?
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Orlando is growing! Coming this summer, Diagon Alley is set to open, featuring the ride Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts.
While there, you can also stop by The Leaky Cauldron restaurant, Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment, and even Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour.
To move between the two Harry Potter Worlds, Hogsmeade (Islands of Adventure) and Diagon Alley (Universal Studios), you will need a Park to Park ticket rather than a single park admission. The Park to Park ticket will allow you to ride the brand new Hogwarts Express which takes you from Hogsmeade to King's Cross Station in London (Diagon Alley) and vice versa!
At the time of writing this blog post (May 13th 2014) the current price of the Park to Park tickets as advertised on the Universal Studios web site are listed below (includes Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios).
Park to Park Tickets (all prices are + tax)
- 1 Day Adult $136
- 1 Day Child $130 (ages 3-9)
- 2 Day Adult $176.99
- 2 Day Child $166.99
- 3 Day Adult $186.99
- 3 Day Child $174.99
- 4 Day Adult $196.99
- 4 Day Child $183.99
If you just want to go to just one of the Universal theme parks so Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure then a Single Park one day tickets are listed below (this won't allow you to use the Hogwarts Express).
Single Day Tickets (all prices are + tax)
- 1 Day Adult $96
- 1 Day Child $90 (ages 3-9)
- 2 Day Adult $135.99
- 2 Day Child $125.99
- 3 Day Adult $145.99
- 3 Day Child $134.99
- 4 Day Adult $155.99
- 4 Day Child $143.99
If you purchase any 2 day or more ticket for either the Park to Park to Single Park admission the ticket is only valid for 14 days from the first date you use it but doesn't have to be used in consecutive days.
After looking at all the different ticket options it would seem the only real choice if you want to get the full Harry Potter experience is the Park to Park ticket. I would suggest the 2 Day option as I don't think you could do Hogsmeade, Diagon Alley and all the other rides and attractions at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure in one day, especially in the summer with the crowds and heat.
I have looked at various Orlando ticket web sites and one of the best offers I have found is from Kissimmee Guest Services who are offering an Unlimited ticket which gives you 14 days of consecutive access to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and the Wet n Wild water park. The cost is $199.99 for adults and $186.99 for Children (these prices are + tax). To find this option click on the link below and then scroll towards the bottom of the page and click on 14 Day to only show this option.
14 Day Unlimited Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure / Wet n Wild ticket.
You can also add a Universal Express Pass to your purchase which basically allows you to jump the que and get on all the rides faster, prices start from $29.99 per person, per park, per day and $39.99 for Park to Park per person, per day. We will be adding another blog about the Universal Express Pass shortly.
We hope you found the above information useful and if you have any comments please add them below.
One last thing parking is not included in the ticket price and is $17 per day, Valet parking options are available.
