Facilities

Our local management company is on hand to look after you during your stay. As the owners we like to get to know our guests and help them in any way we can by keeping in touch quickly and answering any questions you may have about the house or the area to make sure you get the most from your stay in our beautiful home.

This home is in a superb location, around 10 miles from Walt Disney World! Seaworld and the Aquatica Water Park are around 15 miles away, Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay Water Park about 21 miles. Even closer to home you are just five minutes from the main I-4 Interstate and Champion’s Gate, with its supermarket (Publix) and numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Being Florida, golf is always going to be close by and it is only 5 miles away at Posner Park where you will find a movie theatre and a rapidly expanding shopping complex.

Whether you are hitting the theme parks and all the other incredible entertainment and activities the area offers, or whether you are here to simply relax and take in the sun, this property has everything covered. Also, whilst dragging yourself away from the property could be hard, the magnificent clubhouse and resort pool area are just a short walk or drive and park right outside

Solterra is a fully-gated community with a 24-hour manned gate. Guests staying in this incredible property benefit from complimentary access to and use of the resort’s excellent amenities. The 5,600 square-foot clubhouse, which includes a gym and pool tables, is part of a complex that comprises a beautiful beach-entry free-form heated pool with a water slide, a lazy river, a large spa/hot tub, poolside cabanas and plenty of loungers, as well as the Café Sol Bar and Grill serving tasty snacks, meals and drinks. Additionally, guests can also enjoy the tennis courts, beach volleyball court, basketball, a children’s playground and a walking trail too. Please note the Community make a one time charge of $35-45 to use the community facilities during your stay - this is included in your rate and we will refund to you.

As you enter your home from home, you are greeted by the grand 2-story foyer and the large, open-concept living space complete with a spacious island Kitchen and dining area so everyone can gather comfortably for meals or relax watching TV.
The luxuriously appointed living area, one of two in the home, features a large 65” tv with comprehensive entertainment package and comfortable leather sofas.
As you head to the second floor you will find a spacious light filled room with a generous seating area and large 65” TV and poker table, this second sitting room offers family and guests plenty of space to enjoy their favourite activities, or simply relax!

Kitchen

Well-equipped kitchen featuring 2 large stainless steel refridgerators, cooker, microwave with extractor fan, dishwasher, 2 toasters, coffee maker, blender.  Large granite island with 4 bar stools

Plenty of Dinnerware and glasses, including outdoor unbreakable for use round the pool area, and pans/equipment to cook up a snack or a feast. You wont find yourself short of anything! There is a large pantry and even a cooler if you want to take food out.

We have a filter coffee and pod machine, filter coffee machine, electric kettle, 2 x  4 slice toaster, blender, hand mixer.

We provide a starter pack of cleaning bits, washing machine tabs, dishwasher tabs, trash bags, toilet rolls (as a self catering home, please replenish to your own needs when these run out!)

There are two utility rooms, one on each floor of the house with large washing machine and dryer. Ironing facilites are also provided

We do not provide any condiments or foodstuffs for health reasons.

Dining

The large dining table can seat all the family/friends to gather together - with more room at the breakfast bar.

If your group is a small one, don’t worry, our home is very homely and comfortable for smaller groups as well as large.

You can also dine outside under the shade of the lanai with fan.

All our Bedrooms feature very comfortable pillow top beds, with luxury linens and their own TV - bathrooms have lots of fluffy white towels and a hairdryer.

The games room  is air conditioned and features full-size pool table, air-hockey table, foosball and bar table and 2 stools.  There is a large screen TV which is hooked up to the Xbox One gaming console seating is provided by 2 ottomans.

upstairs our games/poker table is a popular place for all the family to have fun, or watch the large TV for movie night.

Pool

The large lagoon pool with spa, and handrails for ease of access can be heated on request (additional charge) 

The pool deck is secured by pool door alarms and there is a safety fence.

 

Outside

As you walk out of the living area to a grand, covered lanai and pool with spa, you will find the outdoor oasis you would expect in your dream vacation home.

The very large extended deck - specially designed by us, has amazing South facing open views over meadows, it is the perfect place for fun and relaxation.

Our luxury outdoor furniture offers a very comfortable seating area with cooling fans if it get too warm for you, and there are plenty of loungers for the sun worshippers in your party, plus a dining area, a large gas barbeque (included in your rate). There is a fridge and outdoor TV.

All doors to the pool area are alarmed.

Solterra Resort Orlando located in Davenport, Florida just off HWY54. This resort style community is only 15 minutes from Disney World. The Solterra Resort has a communal clubhouse open to all guests. It features a large pool area with water slide, lazy river, hot tub and plenty of sun loungers for all. There is also a large covered lounge area with outdoor TV’s and tables so you can get a break from the hot Florida sun, whilst enjoying a snack from the onsite cafe. Building work is ongoing as the community grows, and new homes are being added to the site as they are completed.

Solterra Resort Rentals minutes from Disney

Inside the Solterra Resort air conditioned clubhouse there is a gym with state of the art workout equipment. There is also a lounge with comfy sofas, dining tables, HDTV, breakfast bar and small kitchen area. An ideal area to sit, read a book and relax while the kids play in the pool.

For kids there is a play area which has slides, climbing frames and is sand based so easy on the feet. If you feel like a game of Tennis there are courts available but you will need your own balls and racket.

Solterra Resort is close to shops, restaurants and supermarkets at Champions Gate or Reunion Resort. As well as minutes from the Orlando attractions via the I4. If you are flying in to Orlando then the Solterra Resort is only 30 minute from Orlando International Airport. With Sandford Airport about an hour and Tampa about 1 hr 15 mins.

Restaurants near Solterra Resort, Florida

Whilst staying at the Solterra Resort you will no doubt be eating out most nights. The closest place would be Champions Gate village which has a selection of shops, gas stations, pharmacies and restaurants. We have put together a list of Champions Gate restaurants with links to the menus so you can see what's on offer. Our personal favourite is Millers Ale House or Chili's.

For more choice head to the HWY192 where there are over 50 restaurants within a few miles of each other. We have put together a list of Kissimmee restaurants along HWY192 with links to menus and also there tripadvisor and google pages so you see reviews.

Direction to Solterra Resort Orlando

More than likely you will be driving to Solterra Resort via Interstate 4 so below are the very simple directions from Interstate 4. We have also added driving direction from Orlando International Airport, Sandford and Tampa airports so you won't get lost after a long flight.

East Bound: Take I-4 Exit 55 and go south on Highway 27. Turn right on Heller Brothers Blvd. Then right on Ernie Caldwell Blvd. Then left on Pine Tree Trail. Solterra Resort will be on the right.

West Bound: Take Exit 58 at Champions Gate. Go right on Champions Gate Blvd. Turn Left on Ronald Reagan Parkway and then right on Pine Tree Trail. Solterra Resort will be on the left.

Solterra Resort Nearby Shops

The Solterra Resort is located just off HWY54 in Davenport and is close to Champions Gate, Posner Park and Reunion. Each of these areas has shops, supermarkets and restaurants so you are never far from anything. For shopping head to Posner Park as this is the nearest shopping mall which also has a brand new cinema. Other nearby places include Celebration which has lots of restaurants and independent boutiques. Great place for lunch and a walk around the lake. You are also not far from HWY192 which is the main road that links Davenport to Kissimmee and has hundreds of shops, restaurants and other attractions.

We want to give you a realistic time, Disney has a 30 square mile site so once you reach the edge of the property you can still have a 10 minute drive to get to the car parks. Golf Courses near Solterra Resort Orlando

There are lots of golf courses near the Solterra Resort but here are just a few that I would recommend. You can normally book on there personal websites or by calling the pro shops which is sometimes best if the weather is looking a bit unsettled. If you book online you can't normally cancel, but if call and book over the phone they don't normally ask for payment upfront. If the weather is looking good also check www.golfnow.com as they often have last minute Hot deals and you can get some very cheap rates.

Perfect home for our vacation!

This gorgeous home more than lived up to our expectations based on the photos and description. Communication from the owner was excellent: friendly and prompt. The house has plenty of space to spread out and maintain privacy, but also has several communal spaces to hang out together when desired. What impressed me most was the attention to detail in every aspect. All of our needs were anticipated and provided for, including pool toys and equipment for babies and toddlers. The house was even beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and decor! Thanks so much for a fabulous stay.

Luxury home with room to spare

I booked the home as a family vacation. Our family arrived from 3 different states; I was the last one to arrive. My family met me in the driveway with exclamation of how beautiful the home is! “You gotta see this house”, “this is the nicest house we have ever rented”! A couple of family members had to cancel last minute so everyone had their own bed/bath suite! The game room and pool saw the most action during our stay. Our last night, we enjoyed moving night on the lanai. Everyone requested we make this our vacation home next reunion!

Home was perfect for my family of 13. Home was clean and had everything we needed. Sharon and Patricia were very quick to respond to any questions we had. Outstanding home ??

The owner of this home and the property is absolutely outstanding. Pat was a true star from initial enquiry right through to the end of our 2 weeks stay . The home is stunning, spotlessly clean and in a fantastic location. It was fully equipped with everything we needed for our large family vacation . The grocery store was a 5 minute drive, very convenient. The pool, hot tub and ample seating around the pool really made our holiday. I cannot stress enough how fantastic it was. South View Awesome Trip

Guys golf getaway @ South View was great House was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. House was well stocked. Pool ,hot tub & BBQ were used every night Pat always answered any questions we might have had

Excellent Property for a large family or group.

This property is one of the best we have stayed in. It is meticulously maintained and filled with all the necessities for a vacation. The kitchen is well equipped with two dishwashers, two refrigerators, and both a Keurig and a Mr Coffee. The view from the pool is delightful and we all enjoyed watching the birds in the peaceful atmosphere. The privacy was a bonus. I highly recommend this house and the lovely community.

Great Family/Friends vacation

This is the second time we've stayed in this home. The owners have thought of everything you might need. Extra beach towels, extra kitchen towels, dishes, pots and pans, etc. The home is beautiful and comfortable and the children had the best time. We will definitely stay here again.

AMAZING - BEST VILLA WE HAVE EVER STAYED IN

Everything about this villa holiday was FIRST CLASS. From our initial enquiry with the owner Pat in the UK nothing was too much trouble. We were given all the information needed about the villa, location, services, shopping etc. to ensure a successful trip. The villa itself was just as pictured and totally AMAZING! Spotlessly clean, lots of space, wonderful comfy beds (best sleep ever in the USA), exceptional furniture and fittings and everything possible provided to ensure a happy stay. The large pool area overlooking the open conservation area was a delight and an ideal place to relax after busy park days. We were so sorry to leave and would love to return in the future.

Worth the wait!!!

Our vacation at South View Villa finally happened after a 2 year covid delay!!! What a beautiful place … we loved it! Very spacious with lots of rooms for our grandkids .. and the games room was a hit (once we got them out of the pool!) It was very clean and well stocked - we had everything we needed!! Loved the 2 refrigerators, dishwashers, and washers and dryers. Very private and quiet with beautiful view out back. It was an amazing vacation with lots of wonderful memories!

Wonderful Florida vacation

Our entire family of 12 enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was clean, well furnished and the pool/hot tub was used a lot. Plenty of space for everyone. Just a 25 - 35 minute drive to Disney depending upon time. Plenty of shopping and restaurants near by. We would stay again. Please add a pizza cutter to the kitchen and purchase new air hockey plungers.

BEAUTIFUL HOME!

The house was perfect for our large group of 10 adults and 7 children ages 0-12, and we even had a bedroom to spare. The home was very clean and extremely spacious and provided everyone with a private bath too. The biggest hit was the swimming pool and hot tub and the setting was both beautiful and peaceful. Very impressed from start to finish with the ease of check in/out and the availability of the host and owners. Sharon was great and answered any questions we had during our stay and Pat was very accommodating and responded quickly to all our inquiries from early on. This home has so much attention to detail, kitchen was well stocked and provided everything we needed and more, including all the appliances and amenities. We were already talking about booking this house again for our next Florida vacation. Best stay yet!

Beautiful Home = Great Get Away

Great place for Family Christmas!

13 of us met from 4 states to enjoy the holidays together and vacation at Universal and Disney. The house was perfect! Location and Amenities. We had beds to spare! There were plenty of places to congregate and the activities were great as well. We enjoyed the game room playing pool and air hockey. We used the Xbox to access movies on our netflix account. The pool/hot tub was the best. The weather cooperated and we spent most evenings in the pool. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen had a great variety of pots/pans/utensils to accomodate putting a meal together. 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers along with an upstairs and downstairs laundry was great. Everything was working, except the coffeemaker. One email to the management company a new one magically appeared within hours while we were at Disney. Thank you, Pat and Clive, for allowing us to relax and utilize your wonderful home. The Christmas trees were a touch of home. Thank you!!

Family Vacation

This house was the perfect house for our family of 13: 8 adults (4-couples each with their own ensuite) 5 kids ages 7-16 (2-twin rooms and a queen upstairs) There is also 2 queens down that share a jack & jill (perfect for additional family guests visiting) We are expecting another arrival within the next month and will be planning another trip to Disney as soon as he is old enough. This is where we will stay. Pat Richardson, host/owner, has been extremely accommodating & responsive to our needs. OH, I did not mention the 2-refridgerators and 2-dishwashers in the kitchen. What an amenity. Having the pool for the kids to enjoy after a long day at the park is amazing. Thank You, Pat for sharing your lovely home!

Excellent property

We had so much fun staying at this property! It was spacious, clean and all around lovely. The lanai and pool area were amazing! The property owners were very responsive and easy to work with. We can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Family Vacation

This home exceeded my expectations! From the moment I pulled into the driveway I was blown away. The house was extremely clean and stocked with everything we could have needed for our large family vacation. Bath towels, pool towels, kitchen supplies, baby crib with sheets, monitors, gates for the stairs, you name it, they’ve got it! We vacationed as a large extended family of 15 between the ages of 2 and 66 and not once did we feel cramped or on top of each other. Having a dinning table to fit every single one of us at the same times was incredible for our nightly dinners. Before we even left the house we were planning our next stay. Communication between the owners and management company were seamless as well. Everyone was very accommodating and quick with their response to any emails. We look forward to our next stay in this beautiful home.

Spacious and clean!!!!!!

I recently stayed at this home for a week to celebrate my two kids and my cousin's birthday. The home was very well kept and clean, it felt like home! It was also very spacious for our crowd of 17. Everyone had their own space in house without feeling claustrophobic. The pool was an awesome amenity to have as well. We had intentions on going to resort's pool area but we enjoyed the convenience of the home's pool so much that we never made it. The owner was very efficient with responding to our needs even though he was an ocean away! One reminder for future guest though, even when the trash is not picked up by the contracted company when the trash bin is under the porch, just send the owner a message about it and you won't have any issues following. On our first day, our trash was not picked up and the company told us to bring the trash to curb. <--- Please do not do that. They are paid to come to the porch and dispose the trash! Overall, we had a great experience and are excited about planning our next trip to either this home or other properties that this owner owns.

Great House

Wonderful house. Cleanliness was great. Great communication with owners. Great place to go to Disney and universal Game room and pool were great to have for the grandkids. We had 15 people who fit very comfortably. Only issue was with the complex which had garbage in the yards

Beautiful home

The home was big and spacious. Had everything we needed to enjoy our time and not really have to go any where. Most of my party couldn't make it but still had a great time and security guard at the gate was friendly and great. If there was any problems Sharon was there to assist.

Trust and Believe

When I first previewed the pictures of this home, I knew it was the home that my family would feel most comfortable in. Knowing me, I had to do my due diligence and research it further. After reading the reviews, my confidence of choice was reassured and after several emails with Pat, I knew that this house was it. Once we arrived on the premises and walked into the dwelling, I thanked God because it was picture perfect and EXACTLY, IF NOT MORE, THAN I EXPECTED!! The outside of the house is very nice. It has well maintained curb appeal and is fresh and inviting. But once you open that front door.... what a BEAUTIFUL home!!! The online pictures in no way do this house justice! It was meticulously immaculate and worthy of the white glove inspection. Every square foot of the interior decor was flawless. Everything that Pat promised to accommodate our special needs were on site waiting for us upon arrival. No detail was left unattended. Any question I had about anything whatsoever was immediately answered by the house manager who was an absolute doll. Our weeklong stay was far too short but so very meaningful and necessary. Our vacation (May 3-10, 2021), was planned to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, my 65th birthday, and Mother's Day under one roof with my adult children and grandchildren in attendance. Oh what a time we had!! The enormous dining room table was never empty. The lanai table was great for our seafood boil of crayfish, crab legs, lobster, clams, corn and potatoes. The two-shelved serving table outside was great for holding trays of food hot off the grill during our barbecues, and the kitchen island was fantastic when it came time for our huge, super-serious spread of Cinco De Mayo goodies in the way of nachos, salsa, cheeses, empanadas, and tortillas. The pool never got a break!! The grandchildren put on performances, played TikTok sibling challenges, and had an absolute blast in the game room. It was hard to drag the men away from the card and pool tables!! Each couple had designated alone nights in the spa which was unbelievably warm and relaxing under the soothing pool lights ~ and so romantic. I loved the fact that there was specific tableware and glasses for the pool area to prevent accidents. The house had every single thing you needed~DOUBLE!! The men even gave us "mud" facials with cucumber slices at poolside with our margaritas on our final day there!! And lest I forget the animals!!! The children thoroughly enjoyed the evening visits from the beautiful cows in the back! There was also a family of egrets that strolled the yard and neighborhood. The theme parks, mall, golf, and grocery stores were all in close proximity to the house which was another bonus. To wrap things up... I absolutely loved this home!!! I have not one single complaint about our stay there and will definitely be coming for a longer stay in the future. During the weekend, many were celebrating various milestones within their dwellings, but I have to say, I was quite impressed because by 9:30, 10:00... those celebrating turned down their outside music and everyone adhered to the rules of the community. Everyone was also very friendly, taking walks in the morning, stopping to say hello as paths were crossed, asking where we were golfing, wanting to be a foursome... We felt very safe. We visited the resort, which was fun and very nice.... but the icing on the cake was the house and the fun it provided within!!! Trust and believe. You won't regret picking this home as your vacation spot. When your departure day comes, I guarantee, you will not want to leave!! Trust and Believe!!!

Amazing Home!

This is our second time renting the property and I can tell you the owners and managment staff are easy to work with and the home has everything you need for a perfect vacation.

Perfect spot to getaway from winter!

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at the South View Villa. The property was clean and we appreciated the extra steps the owners and management company took in providing additional COVID protections (disinfecting high traffic/high touch surfaces, extra cleaning of sheets/bedding, etc). While we only had 8 in our party, the house was more than spacious enough to comfortably accommodate many, many more. We loved the open floor plan of the first floor and the view of the sun and pool. Each room had a Roku TV which made it easy to enjoy whatever entertainment we were looking for -- music, TV, movies, etc. The house had it all -- including enough baby gear to make it so we didn't need the cartop carrier to haul our stuff! Pat was an extremely friendly and responsive owner and the management company was attentive (and even brought over additional grill items without us asking). We very much look forward to staying here again.

A fabulous vacation

We were beyond thrilled when we saw our “home” for vacation. As beautiful as it looks in the pictures they really don’t do it justice. Everything was perfect. It was very clean. It had everything we needed and more!

Fabulous House

We had a family get together at this house and it was perfect for our crowd. Everything was beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishes. I would definitely recommend this house and would love to stay here again next year.

Perfect home for our vacation!

This gorgeous home more than lived up to our expectations based on the photos and description. Communication from the owner was excellent: friendly and prompt. The house has plenty of space to spread out and maintain privacy, but also has several communal spaces to hang out together when desired. What impressed me most was the attention to detail in every aspect. All of our needs were anticipated and provided for, including pool toys and equipment for babies and toddlers. The house was even beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and decor! Thanks so much for a fabulous stay.
