If golf is your thing then all our luxury vacation rentals on the Shire at West Haven are within minutes of some of the best courses in Orlando.
The nearest course is Champions Gate which currently offers two Greg Norman designed layouts called the National and International with a third course called the Country Club at Champions Gate now open.
Next would be Highlands Reserve which is less than 5 minutes away and has only one water hazard so a great place to start before heading to one of the tougher Greg Norman courses.
Other golf courses within 15 minutes are Southern Dunes and Mystic Dunes all of which are great layouts and a challenge for golfers of every skill level.

Driving Distances from the Shire at West Haven to the Orlando Theme Parks
We have added the actual driving distances to all the main Orlando theme parks below, these are not the distances to the main gate which most people quote, as this would reduce the distance, but to the actual car park for each attraction. Most of the jouney to the parks are on highways or interstates driving between 55-65 MPH so it's pretty quick to get to all the parks.

- SeaWorld - 17 miles
- Universal Studios - 20 miles
While staying on the Shire at West Haven you will probably be looking for nearby restaurants. The closest place (less than 5 minutes) would be Champions Gate Village which has a number shops, gas stations and restaurants. We have put together a list of Champions Gate Restaurants so you know what's available.
If you want more choice then head to HWY192 in Kissimmee where there are over 50 restaurants within a few miles of each other. Here is a list of the restaurants along HWY192 in Kissimmee.

Lovely Villa!
We have really enjoyed our stay in this villa, The Shire is a very well kept community, with easy access to the restaurants / supermarket at Champions Gate. The furniture is very comfortable, and the south facing pool is a real treat to see sun all day long! Keep an eye out for the local cranes and you may even be treated to seeing them dance! We would love to return to this lovely villa.

Excellent service and levels of detail. Claire has been brilliant through the entire process from selecting the villa, to moving the dates - if only all booking agents were as proficient! I have been renting Villas in Orlando for 20 odd years and "stumbled" across Claire via VR360 - so glad I did, now have a new go to! We stayed at The Shire at Westhaven, great location for all thing Universal and Mickey, plus everything else that central Orlando has to offer. Villa was immaculate on arrival, it is obvious that these guys care about the product!!

The Best
We spent a week in November/early December this year at a villa in “The Shire at West Haven”. We have stayed in a few villas in this area over the years, but this was the best for cleanliness and interior decor and amenities. It was very nice indeed. Claire from Villas In Florida 2 Rent was very pleasant and efficient right from our initial enquiry and provided all the details that we needed in a timely manner. She also provided lots of additional information in relation to park tickets, rental cars, paying for gasoline using a UK credit card etc. We were very impressed by her attention to detail and certainly intend to book through Claire for future visits to Orlando. This is our 2nd visit to this villa, a very special place. Thank-you to Claire who has been in touch during our visit. The villa has been immaculate as usual. The weather has been hot and changeable. Hurricane Ian was an experience! We survived with no power cuts or flooding! or injury! All down to life's experience. Our ages vary from 22 - 63 and we all have loved our holiday. Lovely Villa
Been to villas many times. This villa was lovely with everything we needed. I found that we were able to use all the space in the villa and the pool area was great. We had 3 cranes visit us every morning. We like them but not sure they liked us! The villa is in a great area for us as we like Champions Gate and is only 20 minutes from the parks. I would not hesitate to recommend this villa to others

Thanks for being amazing hosts - nothing is too much trouble! We live in Crane Drive at home so the Sandhill Crane family were very entertaining and appropriate. We will miss their quirky personalities! We have enjoyed some super hot days, balmy nights and some impressive thunderstorms. This house is beautifully appointed, so comfortable, spacious and silent at night - perfect for a noise phobic such as me! We take away so many amazing family memories. Florida we LOVE you!

We did all of the Disney and Universal Parks, would recommend Islands of Adventure and Hollywood Studios above all. For food we would recommend Mexican Camel, First Watch, Four Corners Tavern and Menchies for dessert! The property was fantastic with excellent facilities and south facing for those who love the sun. The villa looks out on to a green open view with the clubhouse facilities comprising a gym, large swimming pool and tennis courts which we used most days only a 50 yard walk away. The Shire is lovely and quiet, very private and yet within easy reach of all the main attractions. The villa was easy to find even after a long flight.
The villas has been beautifully maintained and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It was fully equipped for all our needs and cable TV in all the rooms. The pool was lovely and warm, the extra payment for heating the pool was well worth it considering it was November when we stayed.
We would recommend this villa to anyone who wants the creature comforts and more of home, prefers a quieter location but within easy reach of all the attractions that the Orlando area has to offer.

Excellent vacation home
Prior to our departure, we were given the necessary check-in details and didn't have any problems finding the management office or the villa.
The villa was absolutely fantastic and we instantly fell in love with it as we stepped in.
One could easily see that the owners of it put much effort into creating a thorough space concept since everything looked really inviting and harmonious.
It just felt like home away from home.
Everything was clean and we don't have anything to complain about.
The pool and the jucuzzi were two of the highlights of the villa because they embodied the perfect way to top off the amazing time in the area.
To sum it up, we loved every second of our stay and can recommend it unequivocally to anyone.
