There is something for everyone at Windsor at Westside!
This brand new Orlando villa resort community is just 8 miles from Disney World, located just off HWY 192 (Kissimmee), a popular spot for easy access to the many restaurants on your doorstop.
The 10,000 sq.ft. Windsor at Westside clubhouse overlooks the lake in the centre, and is easily accessible to all staying on this luxury community. The main highlight is the pool area to the rear of the clubhouse. For younger guests the splash zone is ideal to run around and cool off on a hot Florida day. They will absolutely love the slides, jets and even a water cannon to splash each other with…. Keep an eye on the big red bucket, when it’s full and tips you will get wet! The zero level entry from the kiddie area to the main pool is also nice and safe for those not confident in the water, giving everyone a chance to enjoy the pool and feel comfortable, plus you can stay in the pool and keep cool, whilst watching the children have fun!
For older children and teens the lazy river will be a must, just grab a ring and a cold drink and the flow of the river will take you on a circuit through landscaped gardens and tropical plants… no need to get out until you’ve reached the bottom of your drink!
There are plenty of loungers and umbrellas around the pool, including really comfy rattan day beds, as well as cabanas for additional shade. The Tiki Bar and restaurant (Tu Casa) are also accessible from the pool, offering sit down or a takeaway service, with both a full bar and menu, there is bound to be something for everyone.
Windsor at Westside Clubhouse Menu
We visited the Windsor at Westside clubhouse in June to see for ourselves and were very impressed with the facilities, they also have a Happy Hour at the Tu Casa bar every day form 4-7pm with:
- $3 Domestic Beer
- $4 Import Beer
- $5 Well Drinks (gin and tonic etc)
- $6 Wines
The Windsor at Westside clubhouse restaurant (Tu Casa) has a good menu offering the usual favourites from Gourmet Hot Dogs (starting at $6), Hand Crafted Sandwiches, Wrap and Panini's (all $10), Pizza's, Flat Breads and Wings (starting at $8) and to finish why not try the Double Chocolate Brownie Sundae for $6, I imagine this is huge and enough to feed two or three kids or one hungry adult!
For those with energy to burn inside you have a state-of-the-art fitness centre with everything from cardio machines to free weights, apparently… doesn’t sound like a holiday to me!
Continuing with the sport theme, outside you have a mult-purpose sports court for tennis / volleyball / basketball. Plus enough room on the lawn for a 5-aside football match.
The onsite sundries shop could also be very handy should you need a pint of milk or some essentials for the villa.
